Launch of the new generation 10500m3 Trailing Suction Hopper Dredger
Keppel Offshore & Marine has announced the launch of the new generation 10500m3 Trailing Suction Hopper Dredger “Vox Alexia”! The vessel was launched into the water on 2 April 2022 after months of construction.
The ceremony was officiated by Van Oord’s CFO Ms. Jolanda Poots-Bijl, together with H.E. Margriet Vonno, Ambassador of the Netherlands to Singapore, Van Oord’s CEO Mr. Pieter Van Oord as well as other Van Oord Directors and Supervisory Board members, and Managing Director of Keppel O&M (New Builds) Mr. Tan Leong Peng.
At the opening address, Mr Tan said, "The work and progress on Vox Alexia and its sister vessels Vox Apolonia and Vox Ariane reflect the extent and depth of the partnership between @Van Oord and Keppel. We faced unprecedented challenges when COVID-19 struck, but together we adapted and worked closely to advance the projects."
